Fulcrum FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are the lenses interchangeable?

The Fulcrum model comes with a fixed lens and does not allow lens interchangeability. However, you still have the option to select from 5 different lens colours. Each colour has been specifically designed to cater to a wide range of light management and colour contrast conditions. If you require a model that offers interchangeable lens options, we would recommend checking out our 2RX model.

What lens colours can I buy?

We are pleased to offer 5 different lens colours in our Fulcrum model – HD Brown, XTRM Yellow, Vermilion, Deep Purple, and Clear. Not only do they look great, but this model also features the same high-quality lenses found in our popular 2RX model. This means that you can enjoy the same exceptional clarity and vision that our 2RX model offers, but in a single fixed lens set.

Will there be any more lens colours for the Fulcrum?
When we designed The Fulcrum, we handpicked the most popular lens colours that cover the widest possible array of light conditions with a streamlined selection. However, we’re always exploring ways to enhance our products. Let’s just say, the future might be even more colourful. Stay tuned and watch this space for exciting updates!
Who is the Fulcrum for?

The Fulcrum is primarily crafted with clay shooting enthusiasts in mind. Yet, its adaptability extends beyond, making it apt for a spectrum of shooting sports and disciplines. Beyond the range, its potential shines in various outdoor pursuits, positioning it as more than just clay shooting eyewear—it’s a versatile companion for the adventurous. However, it’s worth noting that The Fulcrum is not designed for archery, primarily due to its nose pad design which could obstruct vision in archery scenarios.

One of the standout features of The Fulcrum is its fixed lens design, catering to those who prefer to shoot with one or two lens colours and don’t frequently switch them out.

The Fulcrum boasts a universal face fit, making it adaptable for a wide range of face structures. The design ensures that it provides both comfort and a secure fit for most users, including youth shooters who will find The Fulcrum to be a better fit than the 2RX. The nose pad is notably supportive and comfortable, enhancing the overall experience.

In comparison, the 2RX model, with its smaller nose pad design and more enclosed lens shape, can cater to both shooting and archery enthusiasts.

Furthermore, The Fulcrum’s fit is slightly more snug than the 2RX. This distinction ensures that The Fulcrum can accommodate various users, from those with petite face structures to those who have a more pronounced nasal bridge.

Both The Fulcrum and the 2RX have their unique advantages, each catering to different preferences and needs without one overshadowing the other.

What is the difference in terms of fit between the Fulcrum and the 2RX
  1. Full-frame design and redesigned nose pad: The Fulcrum features a full frame across the top, providing a secure fit for all face shapes. The nose pad has been designed to offer enhanced comfort and adaptability for shooters, making it suitable for various nose types. Unlike the 2RX, the Fulcrum’s nose pad is adjustable, allowing for a more personalised fit.

  2. Flatter lens profile and improved airflow: The Fulcrum features a lens profile with a flatter design, presenting a slight contrast to the 2RX’s higher curve profile, which sits closer to the face. While the 2RX provides a more immersive feel with its closer fit, the Fulcrum’s flatter lens profile still delivers exceptional visual coverage. Additionally, the Fulcrum’s design enhances airflow, ensuring optimal comfort even during extended periods of wear. The Fulcrum’s redesigned nose pad, in combination with the flatter lens profile, promotes excellent airflow through the glasses, ensuring optimal comfort even during extended wear.

  3. Enhanced stability and adjustable temples: The Fulcrum model offers enhanced stability and a secure fit, ensuring a comfortable wearing experience. It sits slightly higher on the face due to the nose pad design, catering to a wider range of facial profiles and ensuring a comfortable fit. Additionally, the temples of the Fulcrum have adjustable metal cores, allowing you to customise the fit and improve grip behind the ears.

Should you consider purchasing two pairs with different lenses?

Absolutely! We understand the importance of adaptability in various shooting situations. That’s why owning two pairs of Fulcrum glasses provides unmatched versatility. With the convenience of seamlessly switching between lenses, you can effortlessly adapt to different lighting conditions throughout the year.

Additionally, we offer a multi-buy discount on these glasses. By purchasing two pairs, you not only benefit from the flexibility of having multiple lens options but also save money in the process. This dual-pair approach not only enhances your shooting experience but also represents a cost-effective choice. Investing in two pairs of Fulcrum glasses often proves to be more affordable than purchasing a single lens from other brands.

Do you offer prescription for the Fulcrum?
The Fulcrum comes with an option for a prescription insert, which is one of the most flexible options for those who need prescription glasses. This insert is a clip-in frame that sits behind the lens and is provided un-glazed, so you can have it filled with your prescription by your local optician. Another advantage of using an insert is that if your prescription changes over time, it is relatively inexpensive to have new lenses fitted to the insert. It’s worth noting that many RX inserts only work for weak to medium strength prescriptions due to their curve matching the curve of the lens in front. If you don’t have a strong prescription, an RX insert is a good choice. For more information about our prescription insert option, please visit our website here
What are the dimensions of the Fulcrum glasses?
  • The distance between the temples (the front of the arms) is 140mm.
  • The lens width is 145mm.
  • The lens height is 60mm
  • The temple length is 130mm
What base curve are the lenses in the Fulcrum?

Fulcrum lenses come with a base curve of 6, which means they will contour to the shape of your face, providing extended coverage with a wide angle of view.
